Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to me. Everything you share during our sessions is confidential, with a few exceptions:
- To ensure the quality of my work, I participate in ongoing supervision with an experienced therapist. All discussions in supervision maintain client confidentiality and any identifying information is kept strictly private.
- In situations where there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, I am legally and ethically obligated to take steps to ensure safety. This may include breaching confidentiality to contact appropriate authorities or emergency services. I will make every effort to discuss this with you first, unless doing so would increase the risk of harm.
- If I am compelled by a court order or subpoena to release information. Whenever possible, I will inform you of any legal requests for information and discuss the implications with you.
Sessions
Each session lasts 50 minutes. We typically meet weekly at a regular time. There’s no set duration for therapy – we can work together for as long as you find it beneficial. When you’re ready to end therapy, I appreciate some notice so we can plan for a proper conclusion.
Payments
Please ensure payment is made within 24 hours of each session (bank transfer or Paypal).
The initial fee is fixed for at least 12 months from our first session. I will provide one month’s notice of any fee increases.
Cancellations
If you need to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, I’ll do my best to accommodate you within the same week. If that’s not possible, the full fee will apply.
Data Protection
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Ethical Framework
I adhere to the ethical framework set out by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
